PM Modi Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave on a visit to three countries from November 16. He will go to Nigeria first. After this, he will participate in the G-20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and finally visit Guyana. Let us tell you that this will be the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Nigeria after 17 years. At the same time, for the first time since 1968, an Indian Prime Minister will be visiting Guyana.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Nigeria on November 16-17 at the invitation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Apart from reviewing the strategic partnership between India and Nigeria, it will also be aimed at further deepening the bilateral relations between the two countries. PM Modi will also address a conference of the Indian community here. The two countries have had a strategic partnership since 2007, with growing economic, energy and defense cooperation. About 200 Indian companies have invested more than $27 billion in Nigeria. The Ministry of External Affairs said this would be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Nigeria in 17 years.
After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the G-20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on 18-19 November. India is part of the G-20 trio along with current G-20 chairperson Brazil and South Africa, which will host the summit next year. India is actively contributing to the ongoing discussions for the G-20 Summit. PM Modi will put forward India’s position on issues of global importance at the summit and discuss the outcomes of the G-20 New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration and Voice of the Global South summits hosted by India over the past two years. During this period, many global leaders can also be met.
After the summit, PM Modi will visit Guyana on November 19-21 at the invitation of President Mohammad Irfan Ali. This will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Guyana since 1968. During this, PM Modi will discuss with the President and will also meet senior leaders of Guyana. PM Modi will also address NRIs here. Along with this, he will also participate in the second CARICOM-India Summit here in Georgetown and hold meetings with the leaders of CARICOM member countries to enhance India’s relations with the region. Let us tell you that President Mohammad Irfan Ali visited India as the chief guest at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Madhya Pradesh in 2023 and was honored with the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman.
