New Delhi, January 5 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 13-km additional section of the Delhi-Meerut NaMo Bharat Corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar on Sunday morning. PM Modi will reach Hindon at 11 am on Sunday. In view of this, the administration has also made strict security arrangements.
According to the police administration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plane will land at Hindon airbase at 11 am. After this, PM Narendra Modi will go to Sahibabad RapidX Namo Bharat station by road. Where the third phase will be inaugurated.
PM Modi will also travel in Namo Bharat train from Sahibabad to Anand Vihar (Delhi). However, if the weather is bad then the option of road route from Delhi to Sahibabad has also been kept, in view of which strict security arrangements have been made.
In view of the tour, Ghaziabad Traffic Police has issued an advisory of route diversion from 7 am on Sunday till the end of the program. There will be a complete ban on all types of vehicles between Mohannagar and Hindon Air Force Station entrance. Apart from this, vehicular movement will also be completely restricted between Mohannagar and UP Gate.
Let us tell you that at present a 42 km long stretch of corridor with 9 stations between Sahibabad and Meerut South is operational for passengers. With this inauguration, the operational section of NaMo Bharat Corridor will expand to 55 km, with a total of 11 stations.
After the inauguration, Namo Bharat trains will be available to passengers at an interval of every 15 minutes from 5 pm on Sunday. The fare from New Ashok Nagar station, the first operational station in the direction of Meerut from Delhi, to Meerut South is Rs 150 for standard coach and Rs 225 for premium coach. With the commencement of operations on this section, Meerut city is now directly connected to the national capital Delhi through Namo Bharat Train.
