New Delhi, March 5 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Devbhoomi Uttarakhand on Thursday, where he will also offer prayers at the winter migration site of Maa Ganga in Mukhwa. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) gave this information on Wednesday. With this, the PMO also described the full schedule of PM Modi’s visit to Devbhoomi.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi will visit Uttarakhand on 6 March. First, he will visit and offer prayers at the winter migration site of Maa Ganga in Mukhwa at around 9:30 am.
After this, PM Modi will flag off a walk and bike rally at around 10:40 am. Then, he will also address the gathering at a public function in Harshil.
The Uttarakhand government has started the Winter Tourism Program this year. Thousands of devotees have already traveled to the winter sites of Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. The program aims to promote tourism business including religious tourism and local economy, homestay.
Earlier, PM Modi reached Gujarat on a three-day visit, where he offered prayers at the ancient Sri Somnath Jyotirlinga temple in Saurashtra Nagar. He also performed Markandeya and Flag Puja in Somnath temple.
Apart from this, PM Modi inaugurated Wildlife Rescue, Rehabilitation and Conservation Center ‘Vantara’ in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Where PM Modi was seen playing and caressing with different species of lions.
