Maharashtra News Desk!!! Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Maharashtra on Saturday. PM Modi will gift many projects to Maharashtra costing more than Rs 56000 crore. Earlier, PM Modi offered prayers at Pohradevi Jagdamba temple in Washim district. After the Aarti, drums were played. This temple is considered special for the Banjara community. Playing the Nagara after the worship and aarti of Mother Goddess is considered an essential ritual here. It is believed that by doing this Mother Pohra Devi Jagdamba is pleased. She fulfills every wish of the devotees.
After taking blessings of Mother Goddess, the Prime Minister interacted with the local people. People of Banjara community welcome the Mother Goddess by playing drums when their wishes are fulfilled. On reaching Maharashtra, PM Modi was given a grand welcome at many places. Modi will also gift a museum to the Banjara community in Washim. Earlier, the PM visited the Samadhi of Sant Ramrao Maharaj and Sant Sevalal Maharaj and paid homage. After Washim, PM Modi will go to Thane. Where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development works worth more than Rs 32800 crore.
Will take every possible step for the Banjara community
During the Washim visit, the PM sought blessings from Mata Rani for peace and prosperity for the country. PM Modi stressed the importance of Navratri. About his trip he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that in Washim I tried my hand at Nagara, which has a very special significance in the great Banjara culture. Our government will take every possible step to popularize this culture and community in the coming times. During this time, CM Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and other ministers were also present with me, which increased the importance of this occasion.
