After the four -day struggle with India, the Congress on Friday said that the claim of Prime Minister Narendra Modi having a special relationship with US President Donald Trump has now been completely exposed.
Congress General Secretary (Communications in -charge) Jairam Ramesh said, “Field Marshall Aseem Munir, whose inflammatory comments on April 22, 2025 provided immediate background for the brutal terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, appearing that they are the US favorite.”
Ramesh said that President Trump had organized unprecedented lunch for him on 18 June 2025 at Washington DC.
He said in a post on X, “The Pakistani Army Chief is going back to America again to attend the farewell ceremony of the US Central Command Chief General Michael Kurilla, who was retiring soon – the same General Kurilla who called Pakistan on 10 June, 2025 in his own words’ an unprecedented partner ‘in anti -terrorism campaigns’. What a strange certificate was this.”
Ramesh said, “Prime Minister Modi has been claiming to have a special relationship with President Trump. Now it has been completely exposed.”
He also stated that the US has no regular ambassador in New Delhi since January 2025, nor has he yet named anyone for confirmation by the US Senate – unlike other major countries like China.
According to Dawn News report, Munir can visit the US for discussion with top American officials this week. This will be his second visit to Washington after a four -day struggle with India.
In June, Munir went on a rare five -day visit to the US, where he attended a private lunch with President Trump. During this meeting, Trump announced to increase US-Pakistan cooperation in various fields including oil agreement.
Following his meeting with Trump in June, Munir had a comprehensive and clear consultation with senior scholars, analysts, policy experts and representatives of the leading international media outlets in Washington.
His visit to the US on April 22 took place a few weeks after the four -day struggle between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack.
