Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections 2024: In the Maharashtra assembly elections, the round of attacks and counterattacks between the Pawar clan has intensified. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has made a big claim. He said that in 2019, when talks were going on with BJP to form government in Maharashtra, NCP chief Sharad Pawar had also attended that meeting.
He said that industrialist Gautam Adani and other NCP leaders were also present in this meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Ajit Pawar also claimed that in 2019, he had decided to go with BJP after giving complete information to Sharad Pawar.
Attack by mentioning 2019 meeting
This time Ajit Pawar is stuck in a tough fight in the Maharashtra assembly elections. Ajit Pawar, who has been continuously winning the Baramati assembly seat for a long time, is facing a tough challenge this time from Sharad Pawar’s party candidate Yugendra Pawar. Yugendra Pawar is Ajit Pawar’s nephew and had worked hard in the election of Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule during the recent Lok Sabha elections. Ajit Pawar’s wife Sunetra Pawar had to face defeat in this election.
Now during the Maharashtra assembly elections, Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar are busy making allegations and counter-allegations against each other. Ajit Pawar has now attacked Sharad Pawar while referring to the 2019 incident.
In fact, after the 2019 assembly elections, Ajit Pawar had talked about supporting NCP’s Devendra Fadnavis. After this, Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister while Ajit Pawar took the oath as Deputy CM. This government fell within 80 hours but later Ajit Pawar returned to Sharad Pawar’s NCP.
Adani and Sharad Pawar were present in the meeting with Amit Shah
Now both Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar are leading different factions of NCP. Meanwhile, Ajit Pawar said during an interview that he alone was not involved in the 2019 incident. He said that Sharad Pawar, Praful Patel, Devendra Fadnavis, famous industrialist Gautam Adani and I were present during the meeting with BJP leader and Home Minister Amit Shah. During this meeting there was discussion on supporting BJP.
Asked why he sided with the BJP despite ideological differences, Ajit Pawar said that even in 2014, the NCP had provided outside support to the Maharashtra government. He said that when the results of 2014 assembly elections came, NCP spokesperson Praful Patel had made a big announcement.
He had talked about supporting BJP from outside. Ajit Pawar said that we do only what our superiors tell us to do. NCP later said that the support was not permanent, but only to form the government. The result of this was that BJP and Shiv Sena came together again.
No one can read Sharad Pawar
Ajit Pawar said that an important meeting was held with Devendra Fadnavis before taking oath. He also revealed the meeting venue. He said that this meeting was held at the house of a big businessman in Delhi and everyone knows who was present in the meeting. During this period, five meetings were held and many senior leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah, Sharad Pawar and Gautam Adani were present in these meetings. Everything was decided during these meetings. Later, the blame for sabotage in NCP was put on me and by accepting it, I have helped in saving others safely. Ajit Pawar said that I do not know the reason why Sharad Pawar hesitated later. Along with this he also said that Sharad Pawar is such a leader whom no one can read. Even our aunt i.e. Sharad Pawar’s wife Pratibha and his daughter Supriya Sule cannot read Sharad Pawar’s mind.
