Jaipur News Desk !!! President Draupadi Murmu is attending the 18th convocation of Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur. The first citizen of the country was welcomed with chanting of mantras in the college campus. Today, 1361 students will be awarded graduation, post graduation, PhD and MBA degrees in this institute, which is ranked 43rd among the engineering institutes of India.
The President will also inaugurate the new hostel built in the campus of the institute. Earlier today at around 11 am, Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Kisanrao and Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma welcomed her at Jaipur airport. The President will stay in Jaipur for about 5 hours. She will leave for Indore at 4 pm.

A total of 741 Bachelor of Technology degrees, 64 Bachelor of Architecture degrees, 285 Master of Technology degrees and 25 Master of Planning degrees will be awarded at the convocation for the academic session 2023-24. 101 students were awarded M.Sc. degrees in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the ceremony.
66 MBA degrees will be awarded for the year 2023-24 at the convocation. At the same time, 79 research students will get PhD degrees. The institute will award a total of 1361 degrees, of which 805 are bachelor’s degrees, 477 master’s degrees and 79 doctoral degrees. Of all the degrees to be awarded, 402 (29%) degrees will be awarded to female students.
MNIT Jaipur ranked 8th among all NITs MNIT is ranked 43rd among all engineering institutes in the country. MNIT Jaipur is planning to start two new undergraduate programmes in B.Tech in Engineering Physics and B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing from the academic year 2025-26. The institute has designed the curriculum to implement the National Education Policy (NEP-2020). Last year, MNIT Jaipur achieved placement of 915 students. In which 200 visiting companies selected 589 UG and 212 PG students. The highest package for UG was Rs 64 lakh per annum for a girl student and Rs 33 lakh per annum for PG.
