Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday congratulated President Draupadi Murmu on his 67th birthday and said that his life and leadership will continue to inspire crores of people across the country.
Modi tweeted, “Best wishes to the President of the President. His life and leadership will continue to inspire crores of people across the country. His unwavering commitment to public service, social justice and inclusive development is a ray of hope and power for all.”
He said, “They have always worked to empower the poor and the underprivileged. God should serve them and provide longevity and healthy life.”
Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi also wished President Murmu a happy birthday. Gandhi said in a post written in Hindi on X, “I wish your healthy and longevity life.”
On Friday, the Congress congratulated President Draupadi Murmu on his birthday and wished that his unwavering dedication to the progress, welfare and justice of the nation kept the country forward on the path of truth and virtue.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, “On behalf of the Indian National Congress, we wish India’s Honorable President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu ji a very happy birthday.”
He said, “His intelligence and unwavering dedication to the progress of the nation, welfare and justice, continue to move the country forward on the path of truth and virtue.We wish him a long, healthy and successful life. “
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday congratulated President Draupadi Murmu on her birthday.
In a post on social media platform X, Banerjee wrote, “My heartfelt greetings to Honorable President of India on his birthday. I wish that he should get longevity, good health and immense happiness, and he keeps serving the nation with full dedication.”
Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazir, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and opposition YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday greeted President Draupadi Murmu.
Governor Abdul Nazir congratulated the people of the state and said that it is a matter of happiness and good luck to wish the President on his birthday. Nazir said in a post on ‘X’, “God should give you good health, happiness and long life in the service of people and nation.”
Chief Minister Naidu wished him long, healthy and full life and appreciated him for leading the nation with a deep sense of intelligence, dignity and public duty. Naidu said in a post on ‘X’, “Happy birthday to India’s President Draupadi Murmu.” She said that she keeps inspiring the country with decency and flexibility.
Similarly, former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy prayed to President Draupadi Murmu on his birthday and prayed for his happiness and long life.
Reddy said in a post on ‘X’, “Happy birthday to India’s President Draupadi Murmu ji. I wish for him constant happiness, good health and unwavering power in his dedicated service to the nation.”
Significantly, Murmu is the first tribal President of India and took over in 2022.
