Hyderabad, November 17 (IANS). Jamaat-e-Islami Hind President Syed Sadatullah Hussaini on Saturday appealed to the members of the organization to extend their reach in the society beyond the organization and the Muslim community.
He made this call in his presidential address at the Jamaat Cadre Conference on the second day of the three-day All India Members Conference in Hyderabad.
Husseini asked them to reach out to the larger society using a new framework called “RISE”, which stands for Reach Out, Individual Contribution, Building Public Opinion and Engagement.
He stressed the need to extend engagement beyond the organization, focusing on individual outreach, reform and service, bringing about positive change in public perception and involving the broader Muslim community to enhance outreach.
“Let us make the coming year 2025 the year of RISE,” he declared.
The Jamaat President acknowledged the enthusiasm and dedication of the Jamaat members and workers and described these qualities as invaluable assets of the movement.
He explained that organizations like SIO and GIO play an important role in this generation-building process by promoting leadership based on Islamic principles.
Hussaini called for immediate focus on nurturing and supporting youth and student organizations as part of a larger effort to build a stronger future.
He appreciated the growing contribution of women in the movement and said that their roles have increased significantly due to higher education levels and technological advancements.
Discussing the current national and global challenges, the JIH President urged for a proactive and strategic approach.
He cited the Quranic principle that after difficulty comes ease. He encouraged to see opportunities within challenges.
He emphasized that the challenges are momentary. He reiterated the importance of adopting peaceful and legitimate means to promote social harmony.
SIO President Rameez EK spoke on the role of students and youth in rebuilding the society.
Samia Roshan, All India President of GIO National Federation, talked about the rapid growth of the movement among girl students.
JIH National Secretary Rahmathunnisa discussed new needs and directions for women within the organization.
JIH Vice President S. Aminul Hasan spoke on the global scenario and the issue of justice.
JIH Vice President Professor Salim Engineer discussed the current challenges of the country in detail.
The highlight of the members conference was the special exhibition titled ‘Idraq Tehreek Showcase’ which showcased over 100 community and social development programs running successfully across the country.
