Priyanka was missing even during discussion on Waqf Bill
Prior to the Congress session, there was a significant discussion on the Waqf Amendment Bill in Parliament recently. After this discussion, voting was also done on the bill. The bill was passed in both the Houses both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Whip was also issued by the Congress to MPs to be present during the discussion on this important bill in the Lok Sabha, but despite this, Priyanka Gandhi was not present in the House. Now Priyanka Gandhi is also away from the Congress session. Questions are also being raised about the absence of Priyanka Gandhi.
Did not participate in the working committee meeting
An important meeting of the Congress Working Committee was also held on Tuesday before the Congress session. During this meeting, the party’s strategy was discussed to fight a strong battle against the BJP and the Modi government. The meeting was attended by members of the working committee, besides the presidents of the State Congress Committees, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Congress Legislature Party leaders and former Chief Ministers. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi was also not present in this meeting.
Congress clarified when questions arose
Priyanka Gandhi’s disappearance with this important meeting of Congress has become a matter of discussion. 158 members participated in the meeting but Priyanka’s absence became a topic of discussion in the media. When asked questions in this regard, senior party leader Jairam Ramesh broke his silence. He said that 35 members were absent in the meeting and it is not appropriate to discuss separately about one person.
The party’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal also clarified on the issue. He said that Priyanka Gandhi had already requested the party that she should be allowed to leave the AICC session and the Parliament session to join the pre -involved abroad and the party has accepted her request. Therefore, there is no point in raising questions in this regard.
This is why the proposal passed on Sardar Patel
After the Congress Working Committee meeting, Jairam Ramesh said that a resolution has been passed by the party about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Sardar Patel played an important role in the Constitution along with launching the peasant movement. The resolution has been passed to show the relationship between Sardar Patel and the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
There was a unique jugalbandi between these two veteran leaders of the country and both are considered the creator of modern India. The two led by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi contributed significantly to the freedom struggle against the British. The proposal condemns the claims being made about tensionful relations between Sardar Patel and Pandit Nehru.
