On the occasion of Independence Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was organized at the Congress headquarters in the national capital Delhi. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and leader Rahul Gandhi were present at the event, during this time, suddenly it started raining, but Rahul Gandhi continued to sing the national anthem even in the rain. Despite rain, Rahul Gandhi stood in the posture of singing the national anthem. Earlier, Rahul Gandhi wished Independence Day to the countrymen through social media posts. He wrote in a social media post, “This freedom gained from the sacrifice of great freedom fighters is the resolve to create an India where there is justice on the foundation of truth and equality and respect and brotherhood in every heart. It is the duty of all of us to protect the pride and honor of this precious heritage.”

‘Bharat in the chains of slavery …’ Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge wrote in a social media post on the occasion of Independence Day, “Today is a historic day for the Congress party, because we are celebrating Independence Day in our new permanent headquarters. The freedom that we got on 15 August 1947, the role of our party knows the role of our party.
