Pakistan had heavy shells in Poonch sector two weeks ago. The attack was carried out in response to Operation Sindoor run by India on 7 May. In this operation, the Indian Army had destroyed and targeted nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK). These locations included the headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke.
27 citizens lost their lives in these attacks
After Operation Sindoor, between May 8 to 10, Pakistan attacked with cannons, missiles and drones in Poonch and Jammu region. Many common citizens were targeted in these attacks.
