Mumbai, 4 February (IANS). The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday questioned the data of the Election Commission regarding the Maharashtra Assembly elections during the discussion on the President’s address. Politics has intensified regarding this. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has advised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to self -consciousness and demand an apology from him.
Fadnavis wrote on the social media platform X, “Rahul Gandhi should self -consciousness instead of insulting Maharashtra. You have insulted the people of Maharashtra, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Bharatratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Phule and Veer Savarkar. You have insulted the people of Maharashtra. The democratic mandate given by the people to the NDA has been questioned simply because your party lost the assembly elections. “
Fadnavis further wrote in the post, “Instead of introspection, you are engaged in slander. The people of Maharashtra will not forgive you for this. Rahul Gandhi apologize.”
While responding to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations, BJP MP PP Chaudhary said that Parliament has enacted a law to add and remove names in the voter list. I think the statement he has given is due to ignorance, because he has not read the law. The law has all provisions. If you think this is wrong, you can object. The question here shows that they are not aware of the law.
In fact, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said in the Lok Sabha, “I want to bring some figures and information about Maharashtra elections to this House. Between the Lok Sabha elections and the assembly elections, about 70 lakh new voters suddenly came. We Election Commission Telling us that please inform us about the names, addresses and polling stations of all the voters of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, so that we are sure that these new voters are.
