Rahul Gandhi reached the house of Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, who lost his life in Pahalgam terror attack, met family members

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday met the family members of the Naval Officer Lt Vinay Narwal, who was martyred in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

Leaders of the opposition reached Karnal in Haryana in the afternoon with senior Congress leader BK Hariprasad, who is in charge of the party’s Haryana affairs. The Haryana Congress chief raised this issue, when Gandhi arrived, Rohtak MP of Congress Deepender Singh Hooda and party leader Divyanshu Budhiraja were also present.

After reaching the Navy officer’s residence and paying tribute to him, Gandhi spent more than one and a half hours with Narwal’s family. Talking to reporters later, Hooda said that Gandhi consoled the family.

Haryana Congress chief Bhan told PTI that Gandhi consoled the family and shared their grief. Bhan said, “He met family members including his parents.”

He told that after meeting the family, Gandhi left for Delhi.

Three weeks ago, married 26 -year -old Lieutenant Vinay Narwal along with his wife Himanshi went to Pahalgam for a honeymoon, when terrorists shot him on 22 April.

A week ago, Gandhi also met Shubham Dwivedi’s family members, one of the 26 people killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. Emphasizing strict and concrete action against the terrorists, Gandhi then said that the joint opposition has given full support to the government.

Many people were injured in a firing by terrorists in a meadow near Pahalgam, a popular tourist city in Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
