In the ongoing voter rights yatra in Bihar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi once again targeted the Modi government. During this visit, Rahul Gandhi while addressing public meetings in various areas of Bihar said that the Modi government is violating the rights of common citizens of the country and promoting corruption. Accusing the government, Rahul Gandhi said that the Modi government is trying in every way to weaken Indian democracy.
Criticizing the policies and works of the Modi government, Rahul Gandhi said that “This government is only working for the benefit of big industrialists and the rights of common citizens are being ignored.” He said that instead of giving relief to the people of the country, the government has only benefited the capitalists and middle class and poor people are facing difficulty.
Rahul also alleged that the government has weakened the Election Commission and other institutions, so that they can make decisions of their choice and democratic institutions can be strangled. He said that “When the institutions of democracy become weak, the misuse of power in the country increases and the voice of the people is suppressed.”
The visit held in Bihar is part of the Congress strategy, in which the party is trying to increase public relations for the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections. Rahul Gandhi also talked about the political situation of Bihar and gave positive indications about the Congress’s relationship with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav. He said that “Voter Adhikar Yatra aims to empower the democratic process and secure the vote of every citizen.”
Rahul Gandhi also said that if the Congress comes to power, it will respect every citizen’s vote and make the electoral process transparent. He said that “Our party’s goal is that the vote of every Indian citizen should be safe and its importance should be understood. We will take every possible step to protect democracy.”
During this, Rahul Gandhi called for solidarity against the Modi government and said that the people of the country have now woken up and they need change now. He appealed to the people of Bihar to vote to protect their rights and move the country to a new and strong leadership.
