Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi will visit Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday where he will meet families and victims affected by Pakistan’s shelling and drone attacks.
Party General Secretary Jairam Ramesh posted on the social media platform ‘X’ on Friday, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will visit Poonch on tomorrow i.e. May 24, where he will meet the mournful relatives of those who recently killed in Pakistan’s shelling.
He said, earlier, on 25 April he went to Srinagar, where he had met the injured and other concerned parties in the barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam. He also met the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister.
During the military conflict between India and Pakistan from May 8 to 10, heavy shelling and drone attacks in Jammu region, including Poonch, were killed and 70 were injured. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi visited Kashmir on 25 April after the Pahalgam terror attack.
He had to know the condition of some injured in the attack and met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed this terrorist attack.
He had said that the plan behind the Pahalgam terror attack was to create a gap among the countrymen and fight one brother with another brother. He had said that in such a situation it is necessary that everyone should be united to defeat terrorism.
