During the voter rights yatra in Muzaffarpur, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a big attack on the BJP and the Election Commission. He alleged that the BJP and the Election Commission are stealing votes together and warned- “This time we will not let the votes be stealing. The fight to save democracy will start from here.” During the voter rights yatra in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday launched a big attack on the Election Commission and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said that the truth of BJP’s “vote theft” has now come before the country and that is why Union Home Minister Amit Shah repeatedly says that the BJP government will run for 40 to 50 years.
“BJP and Election Commission together remove names from voter list”
Rahul raised the question- “The public knows what the public will do. Then how does Amit Shah know that the BJP government will run for 40-50 years? Such a statement is possible only when votes are being stolen.” He alleged that the BJP and the Election Commission together remove the names from the voter list. Rahul claims that 65 lakh names were removed during the special intensive revision of the voter list in Bihar, but the BJP did not make a single complaint on it, as the entire process was done with their consent.
“We caught them red -handed in Karnataka”
In the meeting, Rahul said- “This theft is not new. First it happened in Gujarat, then after 2014 it was implemented across the country. With the help of the Election Commission, the BJP stolen in the elections in Maharashtra, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh. We caught him red-handed in the Karnataka Lok Sabha elections.”
Rahul said- our voice from Bihar will reach the whole country
He clarified that till now he had not openly accused the issue as he did not have concrete evidence. But now, according to him, “The truth of vote theft through documents and events has been revealed.” Rahul appealed to the people of Bihar and said- “This time we will not allow votes to be stolen. Our voice from Bihar will reach the whole country. The fight to save democracy will start from here.”
