The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of insulting the armed forces by commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that it is similar to inferior assessing the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’.
BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the Congress leader has also surpassed the Pakistani Army Chief, its Prime Minister and the terrorist leader there in the matter of speaking in support of the neighboring country. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi’s sarcasm reflect a “sick and dangerous mentality”.
He cited the historical developments during the Congress rule, including “Pakistan’s occupation of the Indian terrain” and “the tenure of the alleged democratic collapse in India,” cited “the unhappiness of Gandhi for not intervening the Western countries, saying that the history is full of stories of ‘Survival’ of the Nehru-Gandhi family. He appreciated Prime Minister Modi and described him as “Mrigendra ‘(Sher)” of Bharat Maa.
He referred to the controversial remarks of various leaders of the opposition ‘Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance’ (India) who held a meeting on Tuesday.
16 constituents of the ‘India’ alliance wrote a letter to Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday urging that a special session of Parliament should be called to discuss after the Pahalgam terror attack.
Trivedi said, “There is ‘India’ in his name but Pakistan is in the heart.” Gandhi’s comments show that he lacks the expected maturity and seriousness from the leader of the opposition.
Trivedi said that if the Congress leader has made these comments himself, it raises serious questions on his loyalty. He said that if he is behind it, Gandhi should consider changing him.
The comment was made at a time when Gandhi addressed a party conference in Madhya Pradesh, alleging that Modi had ‘surrendered’ after a call from US President Donald Trump during the Indo-Pakistan military struggle.
He said in a post on ‘X’ after launching the party’s ‘organization creation campaign’ in the presence of Congress leaders and activists here, “Trump got a call and Narendra (Modi) immediately surrendered- history is witness. This is the character of the BJP-RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), they always bow down. ”
Trivedi retaliated, saying that Gandhi is already making headlines in the Pakistani media and the Parliament there and now he is saying something that the Pakistani establishment and the terrorists located there have not said.
He said that the Government of India has already rejected Trump’s claim to mediate between India and Pakistan to stop military actions. He made a sarcasm at the US President’s habit of making baseless claims.
The BJP spokesperson mentioned the ‘post’ by Trump that his predecessor President of America Joe Biden was killed in 2020 and was replaced by a ‘robot clone’.
Trivedi called Gandhi “Rahul Munir” and “Rahul Sharif”, using the nicknames of the Pakistani Army and Prime Minister to underestimate India’s reputation and the valor of its armed forces.
