The Congress on Monday alleged that in order to divert attention from the issues before the government in the second phase of the budget session of Parliament, action has been taken against former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel through the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The Enforcement Directorate on Monday raided his premises under a money laundering investigation against the son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel in the alleged liquor scam case. Official sources gave this information.
Sources said that Bhupesh Baghel’s son Chaitanya Baghel is being searched under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Lashing Act (PMLA) on the premises of Laxmi Narayan Bansal alias Pappu Bansal and some others, alleged close associate of Chaitanya Baghel, Chaitanya Baghel’s alleged close associate of Chaitanya Baghel.
Pawan Kheda, head of Congress media department, said, “ED raids are going on at Bhupesh Baghel ji’s house in Bhilai since this morning. Doing so with opposition leaders has become the BJP’s tradition. “He claimed,” No one knows why this raid was conducted. There is no case against Baghel ji now. ”
He alleged, “The Parliament session is starting from today, so the BJP may have raided to divert attention from the necessary issues as the government is surrounded by many issues.”
Kheda also said that if Baghel has started his political activity as in charge of the Congress of Punjab, action would have been taken due to that.
