The Congress targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the death of seven children who had collapsed a part of a government school building in Jhalawar, Rajasthan, and Rahul Gandhi demanded the investigation of the case and punishing the culprits.
The incident took place at Piplodi Government School in Manoharathana block in the district. The children were gathering for morning prayers when a part of the building collapsed due to the falling of the sixth and seventh grade roof, in which about 35 children were buried. Seven children died in the accident while 27 people were injured.
Kanha (six), Payal (12), Harish (eight), Priyanka (12), Kundan (12), Karthik and Meena (12) died in this accident.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said in a ‘post’ on the social media platform ‘X’ that many innocent children were killed due to the fall of the roof of a government school in Jhalawar, Rajasthan, “very painful and embarrassing” incident. He said, “Despite getting complaints, the government that cannot get the roof of our children’s schools repair, shows big dreams of ‘developed India’.”
Kharge said that according to a report of the previous day, a school in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) was so flooded that the teachers themselves had to take the nursery children to a safe place. He said that today news has come that a school building in Jodhpur has become so dilapidated that children are forced to study under the neem tree.
Kharge said, “The BJP, which has made a long-borne boost of development, has made the country’s fleet. Bridge falls, railway accidents, cracks in new roads, fragmented statues of great personalities after inauguration, all these have become common. “The Congress President said,” The attention of the BJP is only one place- power hunger! “
Former party president Rahul Gandhi also targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the incident. He wrote on ‘X’, “It is very sad and worrying to death of many innocent children due to falling roof of a government school in Jhalawar, Rajasthan and injuring many others.”
Gandhi said, “According to reports released in the media, the government ignored the complaints of dilapidated schools, due to which these innocent people lost their lives. Most of these children belonged to Bahujan society. Is there no cost for his life for the BJP government? “He said,” There should be a fair investigation into the incident and the culprits should be punished the harshest. “
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that the news of death of many innocent children and injuries of many due to falling roof of a school in Jhalawar, Rajasthan is very sad. He said, “According to the news, serious negligence about the dilapidated building killed the innocent people. Strict action should be taken against the culprits after quick investigation of the case.
