Lucknow, September 7 (IANS). A three-storey building collapsed in Transport Nagar of Sarojini Nagar police station area of ​​Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday. Four people died after being buried under its debris. At the same time, 20 others were injured in this accident and many people are still feared to be buried under the debris.

Regarding this incident, Lucknow MP and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh wrote on the social media platform X, “The news of the accident caused by the collapse of a building in Lucknow is extremely painful. I have spoken to the District Magistrate of Lucknow over the phone and got information about the situation. The local administration is carrying out relief and rescue operations on the spot and is engaged in all possible help to the victims.”

At the same time, Dr. Rajiv Dixit says that 28 people were brought in injured, out of which four died. Three people have been referred to KGMU Trauma Center due to their critical condition. The condition of other people is under control, the injured are being treated.

ADG LO Amitabh Yash said that 28 people have been pulled out from the debris, 4 people have died. The cause of the incident is being investigated and the rescue operation is going on. Saving lives is our priority. The matter will be investigated after the rescue is completed. Two teams of NDRF and SDRF along with the fire department are engaged in rescue work.

He said that the reason for the building collapse will be known only after the rescue operation. At present, the injured are being treated in hospitals. Various departments have been engaged in relief and rescue work. Rescue work is being done with the coordination of all departments. The entire building is being searched. All technical equipment has been deployed for searching. The Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath is also keeping an eye on this entire incident.

Akash, who was injured in the incident, says that I was working on the second floor of the building. It was raining, during this time the building fell on us. The building collapsed due to heavy load above. This incident happened due to heavy load along with rain.

Injured Bhanu says that we were working when suddenly this incident happened. I believe that this accident happened due to rain and load. Due to the collapse of the building, the people present there started running here and there. Bhanu said that we are being treated well. Our brother-in-law has also been injured in this incident. Our family members have not been informed yet.

The Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath also took cognizance of the accident. On the instructions of CM Yogi, NDRF and SDRF teams were dispatched to the spot. The CM instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and expedite the relief work and provide proper treatment to the injured. Along with this, he also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Local people believe that work was going on in the basement of this building on Saturday. During this time, the building suddenly started tilting. Before people could understand anything and get out of there, the building collapsed.
