New Delhi, 24 January (IANS). Ravindra Singh Negi is a popular face in Delhi politics, who is in the fray from Patparganj seat on a BJP ticket in the upcoming assembly elections. He contested from Patparganj assembly seat in 2020 on a BJP ticket. Although he had to face defeat in that election, he gave a tough fight to Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia.
Ravindra Singh Negi is well aware of the local issues of Patparganj and the concerns of the voters. Currently he is a corporation councilor from Vinod Nagar Ward-198 in Delhi. His political experience is quite deep and he has been active in Delhi politics for the past several years. He did his education from Delhi University and graduated from art in 2002. Since then, he has been vocal about local issues.
The name of Ravindra Singh Negi, who is associated with publicly active life, has also been engulfed in many controversies. His statements have been at the center of discussions. Recently, a video went viral, in which he was heard saying to the handlers that if they are Muslims, write their names at their shop and if they are Hindus then put saffron flag. Opposition parties reacted sharply to this video. Apart from this, many other statements and incidents of Negi have been in controversy.
In an incident, he asked the operator of a ‘Tomar Dairy’ in Chander Vihar. When the shopkeeper called his name Altamas Tomar and described himself as a Muslim, Negi threatened him that his shop would be sealed if he did not change his name. Similar disputes have brought Negi’s image under the question.

It is noteworthy that all 70 assembly seats in Delhi will be voted in one phase on February 5. The results will be announced on 8 February. Delhi has one crore 55 lakh voters. Of these, the number of male voters is 83.49 lakh and female voters are 71.74 lakhs. Apart from this, there are 1,261 third gender voters. The number of young voters is 25.89 lakh while 2.08 lakhs are first time voters.
