Revanth Reddy on Thursday suggested the Center that the Telangana model should be followed for the caste census, in which a group of ministers and a specialist committee should be formed to study caste profiles in every state before caste census as part of general census.
He suggested that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi first visited the states and formed a group of ministers to build a consensus to take suggestions from the state government and all stakeholders. Subsequently, a committee of experts, including officials, should be constituted to work on the terms of reference for caste census.
