आरजी कर मामला : सीबीआई जांच से उठ रहा जूनियर डॉक्टरों का भरोसा, एजेंसी के कार्यालय तक निकाली मशाल यात्रा

Kolkata, October 30 (IANS). R.G. of Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. Junior doctors protesting against the rape and murder of a fellow female doctor at Kar Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday night feared that the institute’s former and controversial principal Sandeep Ghosh would ultimately be spared punishment due to the Central Bureau of Investigation’s “one-sided investigation”. Can survive.

A torch rally was taken out till the CBI office on Wednesday evening, in which thousands of people from different sections of the society including the protesting junior doctors participated. The West Bengal Junior Doctors Front (WBJDF), which led the agitation on the issue of rape and murder, clarified that the aim of the rally was to send a message to the central agency to bring the investigation in the case to a prompt and logical conclusion.

Debashish Halder, representative of the WBJDF and a prominent face of the junior doctors’ movement on this issue, said that the nature of the CBI’s investigation into the case seemed one-sided from the very beginning, which is evident from its first chargesheet. In the chargesheet, the central agency has named only the civilian volunteer as the main accused in the crime of rape and murder.

Halder said at the end of the torch rally and protest in front of the CBI office on Wednesday night, “The one-sided investigation by the CBI has left us as well as the victim’s parents worried that Sandeep Ghosh is at least guilty of rape and murder. In this case, punishment can be avoided.”

The CBI is conducting two parallel investigations against Ghosh. The first investigation was conducted by R.G. One in case of financial irregularities in tax, and the other in case of rape and murder.

In the second case, the main charges against Ghosh and former SHO of Tala police station Abhijeet Mandal are of misleading the investigation and tampering with evidence. R.G. Kar Tala comes under police station area.

The initial investigation of the case was being conducted by the Kolkata Police, but later the investigation was handed over to the CBI by the Calcutta High Court.
