Patna, 5 November (IANS). There was a wave of mourning in Bihar after hearing the news of the demise of famous folk singer Sharda Sinha. All RJD leaders including former Union Minister and RJD President Lalu Yadav, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav have expressed grief over the demise of Sharda Sinha.
RJD President Lalu Yadav said that his demise has caused irreparable loss to the field of folk singing. He had created a distinct identity through the song Chhath. Hearing the news of the demise of folk singer Sharda Sinha, former Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, MP Dr. Misa Bharti, former Minister Tej Pratap Yadav, State President Jagdanand Singh, National Vice President Uday Narayan Chaudhary, National Principal General Secretary Abdul Bari Siddiqui, former Union Minister Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav, National Chief Spokesperson Prof. Manoj Kumar Jha, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav, National General Secretary Bhola Yadav have also expressed condolences.
RJD leaders said that it is not possible to compensate for these losses in the near future. This is a matter of mourning for Bihar and the RJD family pays heartfelt tribute to him.
Famous folk singer Sharda Sinha passed away on Tuesday night. She was 72 years old. A few days ago, he was admitted to AIIMS, Delhi due to illness. On Monday, when his health deteriorated, he was shifted to ventilator.
Sharda Sinha’s son Anshuman Sinha gave this information in a post on social media platform Facebook. He told, “Your prayers and love will always be with the mother. Chhathi Maiya has called the mother to herself. The mother is no longer with us in physical form.”
