Khurshid’s statement on Article 370 created a ruckus
Salman Khurshid had commented on the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir during the delegation visits to Indonesia. After which the stir in the political corridors intensified. In Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, he said that after the removal of Section 370, the path of prosperity and democratic development in the state is open. He also said that now it has also changed that Jammu and Kashmir is different from the rest of the country. The people there participated extensively in the elections and now the democratic government is working there. However, some forces want to take the state again to the old era, which needs to be stopped.
Khurshid appealed for solidarity against terrorism
On Sunday, Khurshid, underlining India’s united stance against terrorism, emphasized the need for international cooperation. He said that peace and development can be promoted worldwide by strict action on terrorism. In his words, India is saying together no longer terrorism. We collectively unite from the world and expect to eliminate terrorism from the root. We are confident, we will be successful.
