Kolkata, Aug 30 (IANS) The BJP on Friday alleged that seven rape cases were reported from various parts of West Bengal in 48 hours but Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was threatening doctors for protesting over the R.G.
BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya wrote on Twitter, “In the last 48 hours, there have been seven cases of rape (mostly minors) and a few cases of murder in West Bengal. But Mamata Banerjee is engaged in every despicable act that any civilised chief minister should be ashamed of. From threatening and abusing doctors to inciting nationwide arson, the chief minister has done it all.”
Malviya also provided a list of cases reportedly reported in the state during the last 48 hours that were brought to his notice.
He said the West Bengal police will issue notices to such incidents, terming them as fake information being circulated or a figment of the opposition’s imagination.
Uploading the list, he wrote on Instagram, “No doubt Mamata Banerjee’s PR machine aka Bengal Police will be ready with their notices, and will dismiss everything as “mitthe rotona” and “birodhider sajano ghotona” but here are the details.”
He also accused the chief minister of “tampering” with evidence of his “corruption” and “incompetence” in the RG Tax case.
He also attacked the West Bengal Women’s Commission and the West Bengal Commission for Protection of Child Rights, accusing them of turning into the “B-team” of the Trinamool Congress and advocating Mamata Banerjee’s innocence despite their failures.
