Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar praised the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh for its dedication to ideology and urged his party to also follow the example of social reformers Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, BR Ambedkar and political veteran Yashwantrao Chavan. Addressing party workers at a gathering in South Mumbai, the former Union Minister said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has committed workers who show unwavering loyalty to the ideology of the Hindutva organization and do not deviate from their path at any cost.
Pawar said, “We should also have a cadre base that is committed to the ideology of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, BR Ambedkar and Yashwantrao Chavan.”
“We had become careless after the success in the Lok Sabha elections, while the ruling alliance (BJP-led grand alliance) had failed in the parliamentary elections,” he said about the Nationalist Congress Party (SP)’s crushing defeat in the November assembly elections in Maharashtra.
