New Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS). Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) leader and former MP Simranjit Singh Mann on Thursday made a so-called controversial statement regarding BJP MP Kangana Ranaut. BJP national spokesperson Tuhin Sinha gave his reaction to Mann’s statement while talking to IANS.
The BJP spokesperson said that the Bharatiya Janata Party had issued a press release and given its clarification regarding the statement given by Kangana Ranaut. But the statement given by Simranjit Singh four-five days later is anti-women and promotes crime.
He further said that this statement of Simranjit Singh Mann shows his perverted mentality. If any person makes such a statement, then he is inciting rape. Such a statement should not be made by any former MP or politician. It cannot be condemned enough.
Let us tell you that Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) leader and former MP Simranjit Singh had given a controversial statement on Thursday on BJP MP from Mandi Lok Sabha Kangana Ranaut. He said that Kangana Ranaut has a lot of experience of rape. Kangana should explain to people how rape happens.
Actually, Kangana had said during a podcast that rapes used to happen during the farmers’ movement. If the top leadership of BJP was not there at the center, then the situation like Bangladesh could have happened here too.
On this, Simranjit Singh told reporters that you can ask Kangana how rape happens, because she has experience. After this statement, when the media asked her what kind of experience she has, she said that it is just like the experience. Just like you get experience when you ride a bicycle, similarly she has experience of rape.
It is worth noting that the top leadership of BJP has also warned Kangana about her statement on the farmers’ movement. Along with this, BJP issued a press release and warned her to avoid making such statements in future. Bharatiya Janata Party disagrees with the statement of Kangana Ranaut. Kangana is neither allowed to speak on the policy issues of the party nor is she authorized to make such statements.
