Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the first full budget of the third term of the third term of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha on Saturday by wearing a cream color saree with Mithila painting.
Sitharaman was met by a well -known artist Padmashree Dulari Devi when she was on a tour of Mithila region of Bihar in November last year and during this time she went to Mithila painting institute.
Popular Madhubani painting is also known as Mithila Painting. It is considered a traditional and complex style of folk art. This art is considered to be the origin in Mithila region of Bihar.
Janata Dal (United) Executive Chairman and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Jha said in a post on ‘X’, “Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today wearing a mithila painting saree to present the general budget and the value of Mithila and Bihar Has increased. For this, he was thankful to all Mithila and Biharites. “He said,” This sari was presented to him by Padmashree Dulari Devi Ji, the famous artist of Mithila painting at Mithila painting institute during his visit to Mithila in November last. ”
Dulari Devi Madhubani is a famous artist of Petting and was awarded the Padma Shri Samman by the then President Ram Nath Kovind in the year 2021 for her contribution to the field of art.
The characteristic of this art form is the use of its vibrant colors, geometric patterns and natural colors. Madhubani paintings often reflect Hindu mythology, nature and scenes of daily life. They are usually made by women in Mithila region and have been moving for generations.
