Raipur, October 5 (IANS). 31 Naxalites were killed in an encounter between police and Naxalites on the border of Narayanpur-Dantewada districts in Chhattisgarh on Friday afternoon. Former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel, while talking to IANS, praised the security personnel and called their operation successful.
Bhupesh Baghel said, “31 bodies have been recovered in this encounter. There is still a possibility of finding more dead bodies. The operation conducted by our soldiers against the Naxalites was quite successful. My best wishes to him.”
Let us tell you that this is being described as the biggest encounter of Chhattisgarh. Police are continuously conducting search operations against Naxalites. According to the information, the police have recovered a large quantity of LMG rifles, AK 47 rifles, SLR rifles, INSAS rifles, caliber 303 rifles and other weapons. The search operation is going on and additional CRPF forces are also keeping a vigil.
State Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has given complete information about this encounter between police and Naxalites to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The Chief Minister’s Office has said that Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Dev Sai on Friday night regarding the 31 Naxalites killed in an encounter with the police on the Narayanpur-Dantewada border.
It is being told that Amit Shah has taken information from the Chief Minister about the entire operation and wants to know about the further plans. The search operation is still going on in the area where the encounter took place between police and Naxalites.
It is noteworthy that in the month of September, the victims of Maoist terror had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. During this, the Home Minister had said that the BJP government is working towards ending Naxalism. He had also given a deadline to eliminate Naxal from Bastar. Amit Shah had said, BJP government will liberate Naxalism by March 2026. Also, Amit Shah had appealed to the Naxalites to surrender.
