Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on 15 June due to stomach related problems, is now stable and his health is being monitored strongly, the hospital president said on Monday.
Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, said, “Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the Surgical Gastroenterology Department for a stomach related problem at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital tomorrow at 9 pm.
The 78 -year -old Congress leader was admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh on 7 June.
Naresh Chauhan, Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, said that the president of the Congress Parliamentary Party was brought for regular health check -up due to some minor health problems.
He said that the doctors investigated his health status and said that his condition is stable.
IGMC Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Aman Chauhan said that Sonia Gandhi has gone back after regular health checkups. He said, “His blood pressure was slightly increased, but there is nothing serious.”
Dr. Chauhan said, “No additional testing was done; only regular checking was done. He was not given any special medical advice because everything was perfectly fine.”
