Lucknow, 30 November (IANS). Heavy police security has been deployed outside the house of MLA Mata Prasad Pandey in Lucknow ahead of the visit of Samajwadi Party’s 15-member delegation to Sambhal. Meanwhile, SP President and former Chief Minister of the state Akhilesh Yadav has expressed his displeasure over the ex-post.
Akhilesh Yadav wrote on social media platform The atmosphere of harmony and peace in Sambhal does not get disturbed. Just as BJP changes the entire cabinet at once, similarly by suspending the entire administrative board from top to bottom in Sambhal and accusing them of conspiracy and negligence. “True action should be taken and a case should be filed for killing someone. BJP has lost.”
On the other hand, Mata Prasad Pandey, who was leading the delegation, said that he had received a call from Sambhal DM. He has been asked not to come back till 10th. In such a situation, we will decide further strategy. We have freedom to go anywhere and this is our fundamental right. The government does not trust the Constitution, that is why it is taking such steps. The government is stopping us from going for fear of the truth being exposed.
Whereas Samajwadi Party wrote on X Post, “Yogi government is scared of SP delegation. At the behest of the government, the police stopped State President Shyam Lal Pal ji from regaining control, put him under house arrest. BJP government is flouting the Constitution and democracy. Extremely condemnable.”
In the Sambhal violence case, a 15-member delegation was formed under the leadership of Mata Prasad Pandey.
On the instructions of Samajwadi Party President and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, a 15-member delegation was to visit Sambhal on Saturday. The task of the delegation was to gather detailed information about the incident. A report had to be prepared and submitted to the National President of SP.
Apart from Mata Prasad Pandey, this delegation includes Legislative Council leader Lal Bihari Yadav, State President Shyam Lal Pal and other MLAs and prominent officials including MLC.
