Sambhal, 29 December (IANS). A delegation of Samajwadi Party will visit Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday. Here the members of the delegation will meet the families of those who lost their lives in the violence that took place during the Jama Masjid survey.
On the instructions of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, a SP delegation will arrive at 12 noon on Monday. SP leaders will meet the families of the youth who lost their lives in the violence that broke out during the Sambhal Jama Masjid survey. During this, the amount of financial assistance announced by Akhilesh Yadav of Rs 5 lakh will also be handed over.
The delegation included Leader of Opposition in Uttar Pradesh Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Lal Bihari Yadav, SP MP Harendra Malik, Ruchi Veera, Iqra Hasan, Ziaur Rahman Burke, Neeraj Maurya, MLA Kamal Akhtar, Nawab Iqbal Mahmood, Pinky Singh Yadav and There will be many party workers including Sambhal District President Asghar Ali Ansari.
It is noteworthy that the first survey of Jama Masjid of Sambhal was conducted on November 19 on the orders of the court. The Hindu side had claimed that Jama Masjid was a Shri Harihar temple during the time of Mughal ruler Babar. Babar demolished it and converted it into a mosque. The survey team again reached the mosque at around 7.30 am on 24 November. Police were deployed at Jama Masjid since 6 in the morning.
Seeing the heavy force in the area, a stir started in the Muslim community. Rumors started spreading throughout the city that something was going to happen at the mosque today. The messages started going viral in many WhatsApp groups. Gradually people living in other parts of the city also started gathering around Jama Masjid.
When the crowd increased, a clash started between the police and the crowd. The uproar escalated so much that stones were pelted and firing was done at the police. Four people lost their lives during this uproar.
