Stir to form new government in Haryana, CM Nayab Saini meets PM Modi

हरियाणा में नई सरकार बनाने को लेकर हलचल तेज, पीएम मोदी से मिले सीएम नायब सैनी

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday ahead of his possible swearing-in as the head of the BJP government in the state following the party’s remarkable victory in the assembly elections.

The BJP had indicated during the elections that Saini, who replaced Manohar Lal Khattar in March and who hails from the Other Backward Class, would be its choice for the top post if it wins.

Talking to journalists after the meeting, Saini attributed the party’s success to the policies of Prime Minister Modi.

He said that even though election analysts have named Congress as the favorite candidate to win the elections, he has always insisted that people will trust the BJP government because of its policies.

On the question asked about Congress raising doubts on EVMs, he said that the opposition party is creating a storm of lies.

He said, “The credit for this big victory goes to Modi, who in the last 10 years brought such schemes which benefited the poor, farmers, youth and women. This helped all sections of the society. People love him and That’s why BJP is coming to power for the third time.”

Ignoring the anti-incumbency wave, the ruling BJP scored a hat-trick of victories to retain power in Haryana and halted Congress’ bid to make a comeback in the assembly elections. The results of the assembly elections were declared on Tuesday.

The BJP achieved its best ever tally by winning 48 seats, 11 more than the Congress, while parties like JJP and AAP were wiped out and INLD could get only two seats. You contested the elections alone.
