Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray condemned efforts to incite communal tension allegedly over Aurangzeb’s grave and said that history should not be seen from the glasses of caste and religion.
He asked people not to depend on the messages coming on WhatsApp for information related to history.
He said that history should be stopped reading on WhatsApp. Addressing the annual Gudi Padwa rally at Shivaji Park in Mumbai, he said that the Mughal ruler wanted to kill an idea and is Shivaji, but failed. ‘
Raj Thackeray said that the commander of Bijapur Afzal Khan was buried near Pratapgarh Fort and it was not possible without the permission of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He urged people not to get upset and not to be distracted, saying that socio-political conditions were different before Shivaji and in the later ages of Shivaji.
The MNS chief said, ‘We have forgotten the real issues of the present time. Hindus who wake up watching a film are of no use. Did you know about Sambhaji Maharaj’s sacrifice after seeing Vicky Kaushal and seeing Akshaye Khanna? What was the matter of Aurangzeb, do anyone know? Aurangzeb is born in Gujarat. Many issues are just to clash with each other.
Regarding Aurangzeb’s tomb, Raj Thackeray said that remove the decoration of the grave, only keep the grave, put a big board there. Write on the board that the one who came to kill the thoughts of our Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was buried in the land of Maharashtra. Take small children on trip there and show them Aurangzeb buried here.
