Life was severely affected due to strong thunderstorms and lightning in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. A total of 22 deaths have been confirmed across the state in this natural disaster. Taking this accident seriously, the Uttar Pradesh government has instructed the families of the deceased to distribute relief amount of Rs four lakh to immediately.
According to the information issued by the Relief Commissioner’s Office, the loss of lightning caused the loss in Fatehpur and Azamgarh, where three people died. Apart from this, there have been two deaths in Firozabad, Kanpur Dehat and Sitapur. At the same time, one person died in Ghazipur, Gonda, Amethi, Santakbirnagar and Siddharthnagar.
Due to the storm, one person lost his life in Ballia, Kannauj, Barabanki, Jaunpur and Unnao. Apart from this, 45 animals have died and 15 houses have been damaged due to strong winds and lightning across the state.
According to animal loss data, 17 animals have died in Ghazipur, 6 in Chandauli, 5 in Ballia, 3-3 in Ambedkarnagar, Balrampur and Gonda, 2 in Sultanpur and one each in Amethi, Kannauj and Gorakhpur. Three animals were killed due to fire in Fatehpur.
Incidents of house damage have also come to light from several districts. Two houses in Ghazipur, Sultanpur and Lakhimpur Kheri were damaged, while Ballia, Gonda, Barabanki, Ambedkarnagar, Gorakhpur, Auraiya, Hardoi, Lucknow and Mau were damaged.
Under the compensation amount announced by the government, financial assistance of ₹ 37,500 on the loss of large milch animals, ₹ 4,000 for small milch animals, ₹ 32,000 for large non-dated animals and ₹ 20,000 on small non-dated to the loss of small non-dated animals. The government has instructed to complete the relief and compensation process of relief and compensation for all the concerned district administrations, so that the affected families can get immediate help.
