Strict action against Rohingyas in Delhi, police engaged in investigating suspects in Sangam Vihar

New Delhi, 6 March (IANS). Action has intensified against Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in Delhi. A few days ago, Delhi’s security arrangements were discussed in a meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The meeting raised serious concern over the issue of Bangladeshi Rohingyas living illegally, after which Rekha Gupta said to take action on it.

Delhi Police is now identifying suspected Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in areas like Sangam Vihar and Gill Farm. According to police officials, people living in slums in these areas can be found suspicious, their documents are being investigated to identify them. Delhi Police is checking the necessary documents like voter ID card and Aadhaar card of these people.

Apart from this, the police is also investigating social media, so that it can be known that these persons are not contacted by Bangladeshi citizens. Delhi Police is also checking the bank account details of suspected persons, ensuring that they are not living illegally in Delhi.

This action is being considered a major initiative from the Delhi government and the police, which is being taken to strengthen the security system. The police have shown complete readiness about this operation and it is expected that this action will prove to be effective against illegal migrants. Let me tell you that earlier Delhi Police had ordered Delhi Police for action on Bangladeshis and Rohingyas living illegally by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena. After this, Delhi Police conducted a search operation in many different areas of Delhi.
