Actually, this amazing waterfall, located at an altitude of 13,500 feet above sea level, about 8 kilometers away from Badrinath and five kilometers away from Mana, the last village of India, is known as Vasudhara, which is also mentioned in the scriptures. This waterfall is considered very sacred which holds many secrets within itself. This waterfall falls from a height of about 400 feet and its clear stream looks like white pearls, which is extremely beautiful.
Coming here, people feel as if they have reached heaven. The beautiful pearl-like network of this waterfall makes the people coming here feel like heaven. The special thing about this waterfall is that the water of this waterfall does not fall on every person going below it. It is said that drops of this water do not fall on the bodies of sinners. It is said in the scriptures that Sahadev among the five Pandavas sacrificed his life here. It is believed that if even a single drop of water from this spring falls on a person, then understand that he is a noble person. Due to which devotees not only from the country but also from abroad come here and stand under this wonderful and miraculous waterfall once.
It is said that the water of this spring touches the essence of many herbs, due to which the body of the person on whom its water falls becomes healthy forever. It is believed that the eight Vasus (Aap i.e. Ayaj, Dhruva, Som, Dhar, Anil, Anal, Pratyush and Prabhash) had performed rigorous penance here, hence the name of this waterfall is Vasudhara. This waterfall is so high that it cannot be seen at a glance from the top of the mountain.
