BJP had suffered a huge setback in Khair assembly constituency in the Lok Sabha elections. Party candidate Satish Gautam was defeated by SP-Congress alliance candidate Ch. He got 1401 votes less than Bijendra Singh. BJP was expected to win like the 2022 assembly elections. Then BJP candidate Anup Pradhan had won by 74341 votes.
