Chennai, September 28 (IANS). A massive fire broke out at the Tata Electronics plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu on Saturday morning. In this factory the work of making mobile spare parts is done. The factory is in Koothanapalli village under Thimjepalli panchayat near Hosur. More than 20 thousand employees work in it. The work of extinguishing the fire is going on.
After this fire, along with the factory employees, the people around also got scared. After receiving information about the fire, seven fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. A plume of smoke was seen rising from a distance. Due to this, the fire brigade personnel had to put a lot of effort in extinguishing the fire.
It is being told that the factory has suffered huge losses due to the terrible fire. A video has also surfaced showing high rising flames after the fire. In which only black clouds of smoke are visible far and wide.
At present there is no information about any casualty in this incident.
According to eyewitnesses, employees tried to extinguish the fire. After this, fire tenders were called from Raikottai and Dhenkanikottai areas.
Raikottai police is investigating the fire. The police is busy finding out the cause of the fire in the chemical unit.
All the employees of the plant have been evacuated safely.
There were 1,500 employees working at the plant at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire has not been known yet.
Tata Electronics has also issued a statement confirming the fire at its plant in Hosur.
A company spokesperson has said that emergency protocols were followed when the fire broke out and the safety of all employees was also ensured.
The police has also issued a statement regarding this fire. Police said, “During relief and rescue, respiratory problems were seen in three employees who were immediately admitted to the hospital.
At present, his condition is stable.
