Controversy has arisen over the transfers of teachers in secondary schools of the state. The Education Department has been accused of preferring online transfers by ignoring the offline transfer process. The Pandey faction of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Association has clearly warned that if the transfer orders are not issued on the basis of the offline process completed early this week, then the Director of Education (Secondary) office will be surrounded on July 1.

According to the teachers union, the offline transfer process was completed under the supervision of departmental officers even before the online transfer process started. There was no objection to this even at the government level. Despite this, the department has released only the list of online transfers, which has hanged the earlier offline transfers in the balance. Union officials held a meeting on this issue and lodged a protest.

State President Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh Patel, State General Secretary Ashish Kumar Singh and Joint Minister Mithilesh Kumar Pandey have written to the Director of Education (Secondary) demanding that the online transfer order should be issued immediately along with the offline process. Otherwise they will agitate from July 1. At the same time, some teacher organizations say that the transfer process should be online.
