This decision was taken only for cheap popularity: Tejashwi Yadav
At the end of the 2-hour Jumme recess in the Assam Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav targeted CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. He said that those who are the Chief Ministers of Assam do this for cheap popularity. Who are they? They just want cheap popularity. BJP people make Muslim brothers a soft target. Sometimes the Waqf Board bill comes and sometimes the CAA-NRC bill.
Minorities are being harassed: Former Deputy CM
The former Deputy CM of Bihar further said that the people of BJP harass the minorities in some way or the other. They want to create hatred and animosity in the society. These people should know that people of all religions sacrificed for the independence of the country, including Muslim brothers. In such a situation, they cannot be sidelined. According to the Constitution, all religions are equal in this country and every religion is recognized.
Know what CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said?
Let us tell you that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the rule of adjourning the House for 2 hours for Jumma every Friday was abolished to remove the colonial burden of the state with the aim of increasing the productivity of the Assam Legislative Assembly. Syed Saadulla of the Muslim League started this practice in 1937. My thanks to the Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly Biswajit Daimary and the members of the House for this effort to maintain the ancient secular values of India.
