Hyderabad, Sep 2 (IANS) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has sought financial assistance from the central government to provide flood relief in the state. He on Monday requested the Centre to provide Rs 2,000 crore as immediate assistance.

After reaching Mote in Suryapet district, he visited the exhibition put up by the officials on the damage caused by rain and floods. He reviewed the situation in the district in a meeting with the officials.
Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and local MLAs attended the meeting. Revanth Reddy enquired about the damage to crops and other properties in the district. Officials informed him about the damage caused by the breach in the left canal of Nagarjuna Sagar.
