New Delhi, September 8 (IANS). Big claims are being made by leaders of all parties regarding the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. In this connection, Congress MP Tariq Anwar said that the Congress and National Conference alliance will win the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections.
He said that the promise made by the Modi government and Home Minister Amit Shah to the people there was not fulfilled. After the removal of Article 370, peace was not maintained there. Their statehood status was taken away and they were made a Union Territory. I think this is the first time in the history of the country that a state has been made a Union Territory. People are very angry about this. I am confident that people will vote for statehood and for peace in Kashmir, because terrorism is still prevalent there.
He said that I believe that the people of Kashmir want to join the mainstream of the country. In the elections, the people there will decide with whom they will go? There are elections in Haryana too. The atmosphere in Haryana, the survey reports that have come so far, the Congress party is expected to get a huge lead. I believe that whoever is joining the Congress party, they will definitely get benefits.
BJP’s national spokesperson RP Singh said that the National Conference wants to divert people’s attention from the main issue, so it is making statements about Ram Mandir. This is not their fault. Because everyone knows the stand of the party with which they have formed an alliance on Ram Mandir. Congress and National Conference were against Ram Mandir. These people’s intention is to bring back Article 370. Will these people remove terrorism from Kashmir or increase it further? Will they give jobs to the families of terrorists? Will they pardon the punishment of stone pelters? These people should answer these questions.
Let us tell you that elections are to be held in three phases in Jammu and Kashmir. Recently, the Election Commission announced the dates for the elections in the valley. Voting for the first phase will be held on September 18, the second phase on September 25 and the third phase on October 1. The results will be announced on October 8.
