The budget session of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly is starting today i.e. Tuesday. This day is special in the history of the assembly because the UP assembly will now be the first assembly in the country which will be equipped with the convenience of the translator.
The release said that the system for this will be proposed to the ruling committee and it will be implemented after approval by the House.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed translations of Awadhi, Braj, Bhojpuri, Bundelkhand and English in the Assembly. Prayagraj stampede and Sambhal violence are expected to be discussed in the session starting today.
Prior to the all -party meeting, a meeting of the Working Committee was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, in which the proposed program of the budget session from today to March 5 was also approved.
It was decided that the budget session will start with the address of Governor Anandiben Patel in the joint meeting of the Legislature at 11 am on 18 February 2025.
During this time people of both houses will be present. From 19 February to 21 February, there will be legislative works with discussion on the thanks to the Governor’s address in the House.
Meanwhile, the government will present the budget for the next financial year (2025–26) on February 20 at 11 am. The budget of UP is estimated to be around seven and a half lakh crore rupees.
The budget will be discussed in the House on 24, 25, 27 and 28 February. Similarly, on March 3, 4 and 5, the demands demanding budget grants will be discussed in the assembly.
On March 5, the government will pass the budget of the next financial year in the House. In the meeting of the Working Committee, it has been agreed to place two ordinance (Uttar Pradesh Municipal Plan and Amendment) Ordinance 2025 and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Ordinance 2025) during the session.
