In fact, the Union Health Ministry has approved the introduction of new and short treatments for the prevention and better treatment of TB here. According to the information, the Health Ministry has now allowed the use of Moxifloxacin, Pretomanid, Bedaquiline and Linezolid drugs for TB patients. Let us tell you that the Government of India aims to eliminate TB by 2025. This new decision of the government will give strength to this campaign in the country.

According to government data, there are currently 75,000 drug-resistant TB patients in the country. The Union Health Ministry has approved BPALM as a new and effective treatment method against multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) under the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP).

TB patients will now get treatment in 6 months

According to the information, till now the complete course of TB patients in India is about 20 months. Now the duration of this course will be only 6 months. Four new anti-TB drugs will help in the speedy treatment of TB patients. According to the central government, all the new claims included in the treatment have been approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO).
