The central government wants to scare the opposition with ED-CBI: Deepak Baij

Raipur, September 6 (IANS). Chhattisgarh Congress state president Deepak Baij reacted to the report that ’60-70 thousand children’s lives are saved every year due to construction of toilets under Swachh Bharat Mission’. He claimed that Swachh Bharat Mission has proved to be a complete failure in the entire country and rural areas. He said that most of the toilets in rural areas have been converted into warehouses.

Reacting to the ED raids in West Bengal, he said that wherever there is a government of opposition parties, the entry of CBI, ED, Income Tax is justified. The central government only works to intimidate the opposition governments. Intimidating, pressurizing and bringing the opposition government to its side has become an agenda of the central government, so ED raids are nothing new.

He said that the government is trying to scare the opposition with ED-CBI, this is against democracy. He asked why ED-CBI does not reach the states where BJP is in power. You should send ED-CBI to Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana as well. He said that efforts are being made to scare the opposition, but opposition parties are not going to be scared of this.

Regarding the bail granted to an accused in the Kanhaiyalal murder case in Udaipur, he said that wherever there is a BJP government, criminals are being protected. You can see in Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, wherever there is a BJP government, BJP leaders are working to keep the law in their pockets. Criminals are being protected, this is the reason why the morale of criminals is increasing and criminal incidents are increasing.

Regarding the Congress agitation, he said that the government has done nothing in the last 8 months. This is the reason why the Congress party is fighting on the streets on issues of public interest, so that we can expose this government. The public elected the BJP to the government, but in 8 months this government has failed, the public has lost faith.
