New Delhi, Sep 8 (IANS) Congress leader Mumtaz Patel spoke exclusively to IANS on Sunday about the alliance between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party in the electoral state of Haryana.
AAP MP from Malviya Nagar, Delhi, Somnath Bharti had said that Aam Aadmi Party and Congress should not form an alliance in Haryana because the alliance had caused losses in Delhi in the Lok Sabha elections. On this, Mumtaz Patel said that the decision was taken in the interest of the country without considering the profit and loss in the Lok Sabha elections.
Congress leader Mumtaz Patel said, all the parties had come together under the India Alliance in the Lok Sabha elections. The top leaders of both the parties will decide on the alliance in the Haryana assembly elections.
The Congress leader said, the rhetoric about the alliance will continue like this. Wherever there was an alliance in the Lok Sabha elections, all the parties supported each other fully. If this had not happened, the results that have come would not have been the same.
The Congress leader also gave his reaction on the electoral state Jammu and Kashmir. He said, even after the removal of Article 370, terrorist incidents are happening. Terrorists targeted our soldiers. Due to all these reasons, people want change there.
Regarding the statements being made by the leaders of political parties, Mumtaz Patel said, “In the Lok Sabha elections, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about Mangalsutra and infiltrators. In such a situation, it is clear that once again at the time of elections, the BJP has started the politics of hatred.”
It is worth noting that there are assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. While in Jammu and Kashmir, voting is to be held in three phases on September 18, September 25 and October 1. At the same time, voting is to be held in a single phase on October 5 in BJP-ruled Haryana. The results of all the seats of both the states will come on October 8.
