Mumbai, March 27 (IANS). The ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ kit is being distributed by the BJP to 32 lakh poor Muslim families of the country before Eid in Ramadan. Recently, Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi, who came into the limelight due to the praise of Mughal ruler Aurangzeb, has said that the distribution of these kits will not “get real happiness”.
Abu Azmi told the news agency IANS, “The real happiness will not be released not by the ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ kit, when innocent Muslims in jails will be released before Eid. If you had told them to go home and celebrate Eid with your family, I would have given it a real gift. If you really want to give a gift, if you really want to give a gift, then you have given the rights to the Bhimrao Ambedkar, if you really want to give it a real gift. Under which every person should get his right according to his number.
Azmi accused the BJP of using the initiative to influence Muslims in view of the upcoming Bihar elections. He claimed that the outreach program is an attempt to get votes by targeting the Muslim community on the pretext of providing welfare only.
The SP leader said, “There is no surprise that such things happen when the election is near. As soon as Bihar elections come close, it seems that BJP is trying to please Muslims. They are trying to capture the land of Muslims, while the entire Muslim community is opposing the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. Entering mosques, the Quran is burning and harassing Muslims. “
He said, “You are giving these so -called gifts, but you will not give even a minister, an MLA or a MP to the Muslims. There is no need for such gifts. The real gift will be when Muslims will be given the rights given by the Constitution. Then I will consider it to be a gift in the true sense and I would like it.”
